Tekken 8 still has a lot of momentum coming out of its release window back in January, and the people are showing up to compete like we’ve rarely seen before in the series.
With the action winding down at Combo Breaker 2024, we’ve gone through and gathered the full character breakdown for what appears to be Tekken 8’s largest offline tournament yet.
Between the top 64, JACK-8, Bryan, Nina and Jin also stood out as slightly more popular than the rest of the pack, and three out of the four managed to reach the top 8 too.
We ended up seeing 28 mains in top 64 with 22 being repeats and only four characters left out of the action, which we’ll get more into shortly.
With over 1,600 people signed up, this top 64 represents just a little bit less than the best 4% for those who made the upper bracket.
But how much do things change when we zoom out a bit more?

Moving out to top 128 only adds Jun, Paul and Kazuya to the list of fighters not in the top 64, which means we ended up with 31 mains there.
So the only one that seems to be completely left out was Panda as far as we can tell.
There were significantly more Hwoarang, Leo, Victor and Xiaoyu players in the wider set of data here though JACK-8 and Jin still came out on top overall.
