Manchester United have been reported by FootballTransfer as being the front runners to sign a top Premier League winger, overtaking Newcastle who have had the star as their prime target for this summer’s transfer window.
With the Frenchman being a fan of United through his childhood, it’s expected that he’ll be more tempted by the Red Devils over Newcastle if the right offer is made.
Sources have informed FootballTransfer that United are looking to upgrade their right wing, following poor performances from Antony, making Michael Olise a prime target.
With some incredible performances this year in the Premier League, Olise managed contribute to seven goals in the final six games of the season, making the 22-year-old a top player to watch.
Having signed a contract last year with Crystal Palace, Olise currently has a €70 million release clause which could be triggered by United. However, it’s understood that the release clause is subject to an unknown certain condition at this time, which may cause complications to triggering this.
With youth on his side, Olise is perfect option for Manchester United, with INEOS looking to rejuvenate the team and bring fresh legs in, aiming to sign young players in with a high potential, who can also make an impact immediately. This strategy is designed to help to secure success for the both in the immediate future and going forwards.
United’s transfer budget, although currently reported to be around €35 million, could be affected by the result of the FA Cup Final this weekend and ultimately the chance of United playing in Europe over the coming year.
