The Director General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Janet Ekpenyong, has felicitated with Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid Mubarak.
Ekpenyong in statement made available to The Paradise on Thursday, urged Muslims to use the holy month to pray for peace and show love to one another.
According to the statement, “The month has afforded us the opportunity to reflect, pray and show act of kindness to one another.
“The Holy month of Ramadan being one of the best gifts in a year give Muslims the opportunity to pray for lasting peace in our state and nation as well as a way forward in the fight against the dreaded Covid-19 virus.
“We believe that all our prayers have been answered and requests granted by God Almighty.
“As we celebrate today, may we not forget to show the greatest act of love as conditioned by the current global challenge : The Covid-19 Pandemic.
We owe ourselves and our loved ones this opportunity to be vaccinated in order to intentionally halt transmission and mortality rate due to Covid-19.
“We are sincerely grateful as a state and Agency for the overwhelming support we have enjoyed while partnering with the Muslim communities across the state.
“We seek for better partnership and collaborations as the state is committed towards a healthy society for all.
“Once again, Barka D’Sallah
Happy Eid Mubarak.”
