Brian F shares his final Street Fighter 6 Season 1 tier list

We’re less than a week away from Season 2 of Street Fighter 6 wherein things will shake up, not only because the roster will be growing via the addition of Akuma, but also due to the fact that Capcom will be tweaking the entire roster with balance adjustments.

As such, tis the season for final Season 1 tier lists and Brian F has just shared his with the public. Having just added a Texas Showdown win to his resume, the Ed player ranks all 21 currently playable characters across 5 different tier levels.

It probably isn’t too much of a spoiler to say that Brian places Luke in the matter of fact top spot, noting the character’s normals, damage output, conversions and a handful of additional tools as to the reasons why.

It’s more than just these powerful abilities in a vacuum, though, as Brian articulates how Luke’s game plan flows in a particularly effective way. His relatively safe, pouncing offense potential leads either to big damage and corner carry, where he gets oki corner pressure to attempt to finish off the round.

In the event that his attempts aren’t all that successful, he still has great defensive tools and can always fall back on a more defensive projectile game.

Brian points out how Luke can even go into burnout and still fend for himself decently well, which is really important given the way burnout can feel like a death sentence to other characters without such tools.

The streamer and competitor also offers his thoughts, of course, on Blanka, perhaps the game’s most discussed character at the moment.

Given his legacy, it’s taken a bit for the Street Fighter community to consider Blanka a candidate for top 10, but with pro players like Bandits|MenaRD and Mouz|ProblemX showing off his potential on the grandest stages, it’s not unheard of to hear people claim Blanka as one of the game’s top tiers.

To get all of Brian’s reasonings for each and every one of his placements, however, you’ll want to watch the full video, or at least use the timestamps to hop around to the characters you’re most interested in hearing his takes on.
