The Joker's Killing Joke skin revealed alongside full reference-filled move set for MultiVersus

MultiVersus is now just two weeks away from finally releasing after the beta went dark almost a year ago, and it’s bringing some new toys to the crossover playground.

Player First Games has revealed the full move set for DC’s The Joker as the first new character to join MVS as well as a skin pulled from Batman: The Killing Joke.

Starting out, Joker’s dash attack makes him slide along the ground and strike a pose. The move is called “Joker, Baby!” and seems to be a reference to this old meme video.

Dirty Dealer is his neutral attack in both air and grounded that tosses his signature playing cards, which cycle and perform different actions depending on the suit: diamond is a sticky bomb, heart is a boomerang and spade throws multiple cards.

Joker’s normals use a repertoire of items / weapons from his many past Batman appearances including his crowbar, fake gun, spring boxing glove, chomping teeth, a pogo stick and even the laughing fish for fairly decent range.

Neutral ground special is his trusty handshake buzzer that gives Joker armor and zaps opponents if they get too close while the side special is a rocket launcher that can be charged.

His down special is interesting because he can either reveal a cannon that shoots in front of him or a jack in the box that springs upwards though he may not have control of what comes out.

On top of that, the MultiVersus social media pages also shared more footage of Joker in another costume that’ll be available.

Out of all his outfits from 1988’s The Killing Joke, it seems the developers have chosen to make a skin out of the tourist costume he showed up to Barbara Gordon’s apartment wearing with the hat, shorts and camera.

This also goes along with the Batman Who Laughs skin and a more casual looking skin that’ll be available alongside Dr. Harleen Quinzel.

As was previously confirmed, Mark Hamill is coming back to voice The Joker, which could be the last time we ever hear him in that role for a video game.

MultiVersus is set to launch in full on May 28 with new characters, modes, rollback netcode, and more, so the team will probably have plenty more to show in the coming days / weeks.
