Following the inauguration of the 9th Cross River State House of Assembly, CRSHA and the fateful emergence of Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams of Yakurr II State Constituency as the Speaker of the 9th CRSHA a section of the public have opined that Trinity Jesam the publisher of DetailingCrossRiver will make an efficient Chief Press Secretary, CPS to the Speaker of the 9th Assembly.
Investigations conducted by our news outfit suggests that a handful of positives goes in favour of Jesam on respect of the said plum job: Jesam who already holds two degrees in Mass Communication is currently a Ph.D candidate in the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH; beyond his academic background he's a practitioner of the discipline being the publisher of DetailingCrossRiver an online news repository with special emphasis on Cross River State and beyond; he's a member of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria, OMPAN a professional body of online media practitioners nationwide; mores till, Jesam who is a promising youth and a constituent from Yakurr II State Constituency which the incumbent Speaker represent, has been consistent with reporting the Rt. Hon. Member all through the major part of his legislative career before emerging speaker, so, 'it is only just that Rt. Hon. Williams considers him for the top job, not just as a member of his media team but a the leader of it' a source is quoted as saying yesterday.
Already and beginning from yesterday, there have been cozy agitations in this regard. For instance, the respected journalist, OAP and blogger Iwara U. Iwara has said that, 'Jesam needs this position and exposure, let us ensure he gets it. I lend my support to this one.' The Chair of Online Media practitioners Association of Nigeria, OMPAN in Cross River has affirmed the penultimate position, '… my inspiration for this development is that to the best of my knowledge, Trinity has reported the new speaker before now than anyone else (I stand to be corrected though), so, it's my thinking that justice demands that he should be encouraged to continue.' Publisher of ParadiseNews (formerly CalabarReporters) noted thus,' Trinity Jesam as Press Secretary to Speaker Eteng Jones Williams… Done deal'. Ukorebi Esien the publisher of TheDailyNewsNG said thus, 'Abeg If Monkey work, make Monkey chop. Trinity Jesam for CPS. To Eteng Jones Williams' implying Jesam has been consistent with the Speaker even before now.
