Vote buying has been recorded in Cross River State in the ongoing 9th March gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections.
The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in Cross River, Mr Eyo O. Ekpo Esq., has said he saw appointees of the government of Cross River State in an open show of vote buying.
His words, 'Just voted at my AME Zion Church/Primary School PU. Vote-buying going on openly by CRSG appointees. Saw it with my kro-kro eye. PDP fear and desperation to “win” is so pathetic.'
According to another social media user, 'My ward is ward 8 polling unit 7. The elections is peaceful but there is a high level of vote buying by the PDP here.'
