CRUTECH: Varsity don reflects on N1. 043 'budget of Quabalistic Densification'

Nyok|8 February 2019
Cornelius Ellah a lecturer of Mass Communication at the state-owned Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH has express his mind on the just presented N1. O43 trillion budget of Quabalistic Densification made by the state governor, His Excellency Sen. Prof. Benedict Ayade to the 8th Cross River State House of Assembly, CRSHA.
Ellah has drawn similarities between Bomber Billy, a character in Veronica My Daughter written by Ogali A. Ogali, and Bambulu, a Character in James Ene Henshaw's This Is Our Chance particularly in respect of the use of bombastic and flowery words. Like Bambulu I think that both of them are radical and daring.
Ultimately, Ellah has prayed that His Excellency's inventive expressions see the limelight of day. Excerpt of his thread on his Facebook page:
'Sometimes, Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State's speeches remind me of Bomber Billy, a character in Veronica My Daughter. I read that play written by Ogali A. Ogali, during my years in secondary school.
'At other times, my beloved Governor reminds me of Bambulu, a Character in James Ene Henshaw's This Is Our Chance.I equally read that play when I was in secondary school.
'In those days, it was customary of us to cram and recite Bomber Billy's bombastic words as well as Bambulu's flowery language.
'Specifically, I cannot forget these lines from Bambulu: “This is the child of my brain, the product of my endeavor and the materialization of my inventive genius.
“It is an anti snakebite vaccine. Western Science has not succeeded in producing anything so potent. But I, Bambulu, have without laboratories, without any help, produced this medicine from the herbs of this village.
“I am a Scientist, I am an Analyst. I am a Catalyst.”
'Indeed, Bambulu was a good teacher, inventor and an accomplished scientist. His medicine helped in curing a snakebite and in restoring peace between Koloro and Udura, two feuding communities that formed the setting of This Is Our Chance.
'Thus, my mind went to Bambulu, as soon as I heard that the Governor presented a “budget of Quabalistic Densification” for the State House of Assembly's consideration and passage. The budget amounts to 1.043 trillion naira.
'Here is part of what the Governor said about the budget: “It is a magical budget of concentrating all our ideas and ideals into a cumulative action plan…. This is a budget of deep vision to deliver a prosperity agenda under the catalysis of minimal money, intellect and the third force which is spiritual under God the father.”
“It is a densification of all spiritual force to drive a combo of intellectual and monetary forces for actuation of the migration of Cross River State”.
'Just like Bambulu, Governor Ayade is a Teacher. He is also a Scientist, just like Bambulu. I think that both of them are radical and daring.'

I pray that just like Bambulu's vaccine was invented from the herbs of a “small village” but served as medicine that cured someone and delivered two communities from war, Governor Ayade's budget of “Quabalistic Densification” would also “deliver a prosperity agenda … to drive a combo of intellectual and monetary forces for actuation of the migration of Cross River State”.
Bambulu's bombastic words were not empty. May Governor Ayade's inventive words equally bear good fruits for Cross River State.
