Mr Eyo Ekpo Esq the gubernatorial candidate for the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Cross River State has taunted the State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade, over the latter's fixing of the roof of a building in Government House NegroidHaven has confirmed.
According to him, Ayade's administration is now fixing the roof because he criticised him lately.
According to him, 'The Roof of Government House Calabar, is presently being worked on. This renovation started only after I made a statement that, the hallmark of our misgovernance is visibly represented by an exco chamber that floods whenever it rains.
'I am pleased to see that finally, the present administration is fixing the roof; hopefully a professional job, but the question remains…Will collegiate governance be restored too?'
In another development, Mr Eyo O. Ekpo Esq has said that it is only Mr Donald Duke, as an aspirant for SDP, who had a clearly defined blueprint in his bids to become Nigeria's President.
His words, 'Donald Duke a man with a plan he knows exactly how to, and can, make to work… The only presidential aspirant who has put out a programme…'
Recall that at the SDP National Convention at the Old Parade Ground, Abuja, Duke emerged the presidential candidate of the party with 812 votes. While Prof. Iorwuese Hagher had 72 votes, Ambassador Felix Osakwe 10 votes and Chief John Dara 104 votes.
According to Ekpo, 'His 812 votes were just about half the votes cast and he had slightly more than all 4 other candidates put together. In other words, his mandate is comprehensive because it was overwhelming and was given to him by members from every geopolitical zone of the country. There's a message in there…'
