Paradise Music Festival & Awards to Honour Voice of Nigeria Contestants

Leading telecommunications giant, Airtel just concluded the maiden edition of its music talent hunt and competition, Voice of Nigeria. Cross River had four Representatives, namely, Patrick Asuquo Effiom (Calabar), Cornel Uche Ogar (Yala), Chukwunonso Bassey Iwuchukwu (Imo with maternity presumably from CRS) and Osuwake Omini.

It will be recalled that Omini was removed at battle rounds, while Iwuchukwu was removed at live auditions. It's only Effiom and Ogar that made it to the final round however the fact that they both failed to clinch on the prized positions/trophy.

Nevertheless, Cross River State Chairman of Performing Musician Employer's Association of Nigeria popularly called Effiom Trombone recently disclosed that the quartet from Voice of Nigeria competition will be honoured with a Special Merit Awards. In his words, 'The PARADISE MUSIC FESTIVAL AND AWARDS team will honour them with SPECIAL MERIT AWARDS on the 13th of August at the Municipal Dome'.
