Recently, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel, just ordered the demolition of a thatch house property belonging to a 90 years old man in Awa Iman, Onna Local Government Area, the country home of His Excellency.
It is reported by a local news paper, Guide Newspaper, that the demolition was inspired by the need to provide an expanse of land for the construction of visitor's parking lot for the newly constructed mansion of the Governor.
The traumatised old man now lives on the veranda of one of a Pentecostal Churches in Awa Iman community.
