A Cross Riverian, Ms Comfort Onyaga Ogon, emerged, Wednesday, one of the winners of this week ChannelsTV Book Review Competition NegroidHaven can report.
The successful book reviewer, who doubles as the incumbent Miss Bekwarra and Executive Director of Comfort Literacy Intervention and Capacity Enhancement (CLICE) Foundation was selected amongst nine other Nigerians. She emerged 'Second Reviewer' after one Yeside Olayinka Agbola. The beauty queen reviewed The ''Girl” Enterpreneur by Ibukun Awoshika a wife, a mother, an author, serial entrepreneur (both business and social), and the Chairman of the First of Nigeria Board.
Her Majesty Ms Onyaga who said that she stumbled on the competition on popular social media platform, Instagram further informed that she decided at attempting the competition, not for the benefit, but out of passion. She noted that she had forgotten about the competition not until she was notified by an excited friend on social media who followed the announcement of the result. The ten winners are entitled to a copy of the book, The Code authored by Patrick N. Igbinijesu.
According to Her Majesty, 'I came across the post on the Channels Bookclub Instagram page and decided to give it a shot! The first female writer that came to mind was Ibukun Awoshika. I met her sometime last year at the Embassy of the United States of America, Abuja in October 12 which is the United Nations Day of the Day Girl Child.
I saw in her a definition of a complete woman who is able to combine multiple roles and does it effectively; as a wife, a mother, an author, serial entrepreneur (both business and social), the Chairman of the First of Nigeria Board. I also came across her book (The “Girl” Entrepreneurs) which is a must read for every girl entrepreneur and every boy entrepreneurs should read it as well because he will have a girl entrepreneur as a partner at some point in his entrepreneurial endeavour.
'I did the review not because of the prize because as we speak, I can't recall seeing or knowing what the prize is. I did it because of my passions. Surprisingly, I checked my Facebook last night and saw a tag by Micah Bello who I guess watched Channels TV last night and upon seeing my name as one of the winners of the book review excitedly posted it. I wasn't expecting it because I had forgotten I did the review.'
Her Majesty Onyaga has confessed to being confident in her inner self, as she never says die.
'One thing about me is my trust in my inner Spirit (the Spirit of God in me), a never give up Spirit!'
Congratulations Her Majesty and humanitarian Ms Comfort Onyaga Ogon!
