The identities of the Cross Riverians you are about to identify are the Cross Riverians studying abroad under the Cross River State Scholarship Board, who were given scholarship to study abroad in various European, South American and American tertiary institutions.
As it stands today, these scholars have not been given their stipends, some as far back as 2012 despite public outcry, calls, protest and letters to the incumbent Governor Ben Ayade. The Ayade administration has not until now made a public statement on these students and their challenges except for the fact that one Dr. Matthew Okiri Oyekim purported to be the Special Adviser on Diaspora Affairs to the Governor of Cross River State made a letter in this regard some few months ago when this publishing firm first made a publication in this regard.
Governor Ayade has literally abandoned these scholars without any explanation. With Ayade, I don't think 'government is a continuum'.
