The State Governor, Senator Benedict Ayade has directed the Medical Superintendent of the General Hospital, Calabar, Dr. Ayi Etim to write-off the hospital bills of the victims of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Calabar Branch on admission in the hospital.
Governor Benedict Ayade gave the directive when the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mrs. Inyang Asibong, who represented him, visited the victims and conveyed the prayers and best wishes of the governor to them.
Dr Asibong said “Governor Ayade wants the hospital to write-off the victims' medical services and hospital bills and wishes them to get well soon”.
The Medical Superintendent, Dr. Ayi Etim who was on hand to receive Commissioner Asibong said the hospital got one victim on out patients and two on admission, adding that they were in stable condition and will soon be discharged.
The Central Bank of Nigeria, Calabar Branch victims in the hospital in unison expressed their appreciation to Governor Benedict Ayade on his magnanimity.
