The Member representing Ogoja State Constituency, Hon Peter Odey has urged students of Ogoja to shun cultism and other social vices , saying the increase wave of students cultism, examination malpractice among others have become a source of great concern to him.
Hon Odey, who made this call when the executive of Ogoja Students Union paid him a courtesy call in his office said the impunity in which students indulge in crimes portend a grave future for the State.
He said the students must read and strive to be better citizens who can contribute their quota to the development of Ogoja as they join the larger society on graduation.
Hon Odey promised to do his best towards reducing the sufferings of the students on resumption and closure saying he will provide buses to students of Ogoja on resumption and closure of each academic year.
He thanked the students for coming and wished them well in their studies.
