This new bug in Street Fighter 6 might make Jamie fly up the tier list

A new bug has been discovered in Street Fighter 6 that might take one of the worst characters in the game and potentially make him fly up the tier charts (until it gets patched out). As we sit five months into the game’s lifespan, fresh faced newcomer Jamie has been considered one of the worst characters in the game — oftentimes placed at the very bottom of the tier list.

However, this new bug might give him a pretty interesting advantage for a while, and Jamie players will undoubtedly use it when they can. Essentially, Jamie has the ability to stun an opponent but keep them in burnout, and he can do this repeatedly giving him the opportunity to stock up on drinks.

Pro player iDom put together a video that demonstrates how this bug works. In order to set it up, you’ll need at least one drink stocked up front and for the opponent to be in burnout.

As it stands right now, Jamie can Drive Impact an opponent in the corner when they’re burnt out and stun them. When he does this, he has the ability to take two drinks before they fall out of the punishable window, and this brings him up to level 3 unlocking his ability to use his command throw.

The set up works like this: stun the opponent in the corner with Drive Impact, take two drinks, perform Overdrive command throw on the opponent, let them fall to the ground while taking another drink. Jamie’s OD command throw leaves the opponent in a crumple state, and if you leave them untouched after doing it they will slowly fall to the ground giving Jamie the opportunity to drink again.

Performing this set up just one time takes Jamie all the way to level 4, just like that. The bigger draw, though, is that for some reason when Jamie does this it doesn’t take the opponent out of burnout.

This means that Jamie can perform this whole set up, and when the opponent gets back up to their feet they are still in burnout and susceptible to being stunned again. Jamie can do this as many times as the opponent will allow until their Drive Meter fills back up and they shake off the burnout.

According to iDom, a player by the name of Drunk Carlton Banks first discovered this tech. It is very unlikely that this bug will stay in the game as it bypasses the standard rules of the game’s mechanics, but if you’re a Jamie player, you might want to add it to your arsenal and take advantage of it while it lasts.
