Carving jack-o’-lanterns is an important tradition for those that celebrate Halloween. It seems that one fan (Geo the Geo) has decided to carve a memorable FGC moment into his pumpkin this year.
Evo Moment 37 was the event that unfolded during Evo 2004. Justin Wong as Chun-Li was hoping to deplete that remainder of Daigo’s life bar using one of Chun-Li’s supers, but Daigo Umehara as Ken was able to parry every single hit and punish Wong for the win.
Needless to say, this pumpkin is intended to represent that moment. The distinctive silhouettes of Chun-Li being parried by Ken is clearly visible within the pumpkin.
Considering its content, this is actually a powerful image. It’s often said that Evo Moment 37 saved the FGC as it was losing steam just before the event played out the way that it did.
