May 9, 2024 Queens, New York – The NYPD is investigating after a shooting in Queens left two people inside of a car seriously injured late on Thursday evening, police said.
Authorities say, just before 10pm, the victims, including a teen and adult male were sitting inside a white Nissan Altima, when a vehicle approached and began shooting into their car near 222nd street and Merrick Blvd in the Laurelton neighborhood.
According to police officials, a 20-year-old male victim was struck multiple times and found with gunshot wounds to the face and left leg. Police also located a 18-year-old male victim, with injuries to the left leg and head.
The wounded pair were rushed by EMS to Jamaica Hospital and both last listed in stable condition, cops said.
No arrests at this time, police are searching for suspects that reportedly fled southbound on 222nd Street, cops said.
