Young Palmeiras attacker Estevao has been gaining traction with his performances and many have him lined up for a move across the Atlantic as soon as possible.
The young attacker who has been nicknamed Messinho for obvious reasons has been on demand all across Europe.
In the January transfer window, Mundo Deportivo revealed that the Red Devils were bidding hard to lure the 16-year-old playmaker, who has a release clause of 60 million euros in his contract as centredevils covered.
This may not however come to pass however as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirms he has indeed agreed a deal with a Premier League giant, just not Man United.
“Understand Chelsea have reached verbal agreement with Willian Estevao on personal terms. Told initial bid still to be sent but it will be around 32 million euros plus add-ons, as talks with Palmeiras will follow. Nothing done yet but Chelsea remain clear favourites since January, “Romano wrote on his X account.
He joins a long line of promising Brazilian teenagers to make the big money move that has shaped the careers of some of his predecessors like Real Madrid duo of Vini Jr and Rodrygo.
Perhaps it’s not all over for the Red Devils with regard to budding Brazilian youngsters as they were recently linked with disgruntled Barcelona youngster Victor Roque who may well be searching for greener pastures according to his agent.
