QA Software Engineer
Responsibilities
Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division(Hexagon) is seeking to hire a Senior Software Engineer in Quality Assurance organization.
This position involves verification and validation of j5 product. Candidates considered for employment must be well-rounded, self-motivated, and team players. Candidates must be able to adapt quickly, by learning methodologies and technologies through formal and ad-hoc training as well as on-the-job training. The ideal candidate will work with planning/development/support teams in the following areas:
- Develop and maintain manual test plans and procedures.
- Define and execute manual tests based on customers workflows.
- Define regression, new feature and performance test plans with relevant metrics.
- define continuing testing efforts to support fast and frequent release model.
- Analyze data and communicate test results with Development or Support teams.
- Interact with product owners, product development and quality assurance teams to give feedback, discuss design issues, investigate problems, and develop solutions to meet the technological needs of end users.
- Accurately documenting testing activities and results.
- Use strong analytical skills to solve software, delivery or configuration problems in a timely manner while adapting to changing priorities.
- May conduct technical presentations and participate in technical workshops and training.
- May interface directly with customers or with company representatives who, in turn, interface with the customers.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolve technically support issues.
- May develop technical documents, instructions, and training for internal and external customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or related areas, with 2- 5 years of experience in software testing and release management.
- Experience with Quality Assurance and release management is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Windows OS, Database concepts, Domain Knowledge, Azure
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
- Experience with Hexagon ALI products or j5 product is a plus.
- Experience with CICD/Cloud/IT/ SaaS a big plus.
