Bandits|MenaRD just took home the gold at Evo Japan 2024 this past weekend with an incredibly impressive win over Ibushigin|Kakeru in grand finals. Also this week, Mouz|EndingWalker became the #1 ranked Ed player in the world in Street Fighter 6.
Both competitors are undoubtedly among the best in the world right now, and the two powerful world warriors happened to lock horns recently in an online Street Fighter 6 set. This clash of the titans is one you definitely won’t want to miss.
This amazing bout was captured and shared by prominent replay YouTube account YogaFlame24. In it, we see Mena and EndingWalker go toe-to-toe in a first-to-3 set.
While both players actually have alternate characters that they play, this set sees them both selecting their main characters. EndingWalker chooses Ed this time, while Mena opts to play Luke instead of Blanka.
What makes this set exceptional is that this play is about as high level as it gets. Some of the intricate counters these two contenders use against one another are unreal, and there are some really cool set ups and tactics that I haven’t seen other players using much just yet.
Both Mena and EndingWalker have really strong side switch tech that sees them using raw Drive Rush into a quick jab or special move to successfully get themselves out of the corner. At one point, we see Mena Drive Rush underneath an airborne EndingWalker and hit jab into uppercut, which results in the jab hitting on the initial side, then the uppercut actually hitting from the other side and successfully side switching.
Outside of the real inside baseball stuff, though, both players just put on an amazing show. The level of understanding and knowledge on display here between two of the best players in the world is inspiring and a real treat to see play out.
