The National Working Committee of the People's Democratic Party has announce the replacement of Iyorchia Ayu as it's national chairman.
This was made known in a statement issued by the party's National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba in a press conference held on Tuesday at the party's national secretariat in Abuja.
The statement made it clear that Umar Damagum will be the new acting National chairman of the party.
This is coming few hours after a Federal High Court sitting in Markudi had placed an injunction restricting Ayu from parading himself as the party's chairman.
Recall that the Igyorov ward of Gboko Local Government Area in Benue state had suspended Ayu stating alleged anti-party activities as their season. The statement which was signed by 12 out of the 17 ward executive members of the party was read by the ward Secretary Vangeryina Dooyum.
