Member representing Boki II state constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Hillary Bisong has admonished members of his constituency to embrace Easter with Peace, Love and Unity.
This was contained in a statement issued by his media team to commemorate the Easter Celebration, where the Chief Whip of the 10th Cross River Legislative Assembly, assured that the love of God is endless thus the glorious resurrection of Christ.
The message reads in full:
Christ's Resurrection and Victory Over Death Connotes Man's Victory Over Sin, Evil
"Easter is a perpetual remembrance of God's Love for mankind and this, is the highest love, expressed by Jesus Christ through his suffering and death."
"His Glorious Resurrection, is an assurance and remembrance that his love for man is unceasing, for he died for us, while we were sinners. It is indeed, great victory for all Christians.
As we celebrate today, let remember the essence of this symbolic occasion. Let us do so in Peace, love and Unity, which are the canonical principles of Easter and Christianity.
Christ's Resurrection signifies God's victory over Satan and in essence, man's victory over sin and evil. Since the Grave Could not hold him captive, we all are free from the shackles of the evil one.
