Media aides to the Governor, Miss Beatrice Akpala, SSA Communication and Advocacy and Mr Andrea Ekeng Inyang, SA Strategic Communication give an executive summary of the governor’s activities on “Good morning Cross River” with the Cross River Broadcasting Corporations Television (CRBC – TV).

The duo outlined the giant steps taken so far by Governor Ben Ayade throughout the week.
They elaborated the Governor Ayade’s pathfinder prowess describing him as a renowned pace setter in finding solutions on topical issues of national and international concerns like the climate change.

The Governor, first in the country to give serious attention to the growing issues of Climate Change against all odds.
His concerns were expressed through the 2016 Carnival Calabar with theme “Climate Change” and re-emphasised again in year 2017 with a repetition of the theme, this they said was to create a satisfactory awareness on the danger of non-preparedness and seeking adequate palliatives dangers impending.

He further demonstrated these concerns by the creation of a full blown Ministry, “Ministry of Climate Change” and not just that, as mitigating strategies introduced the first ever “Green Carnival”, a street planting ceremony that highlights the fears for the future of our ecosystem from the constant depletion of the ozone layer through scientific explorations resulting to the high temperature level of almost a 40° C in most parts, experienced thus far.

This was followed by a systematic appraisal of the appointments made so far by his Excellency, the Governor with every index and character of concerns such as gender, age, geography taken into consideration with a well refurbished reward structure for everyone.
“Nonetheless, the competent level of these officials is second to none” – Andrea Ekeng.
Miss Beatrice Akpala also lauded the Wife of the Governor, Dr  Linda Ayade for rekindling the competitive spirit amongst women which has manifested thus far with women gunning for critical offices in the forth coming Local Government elections.
“Cross River State women from all indication do not belong to the kitchen, they have proven their worth and have put themselves forth to handle tremendous responsibilities and we have Dr. Linda Ayade, wife of the Governor to thank for this”.  Miss Beatrice also added that Sen. Prof Ben Ayade is a governor who sees the tomorrow beyond today that is why he is creating futuristic policies that will raise the standard of living of all Cross Riverians in every value chain across board. She also enjoined the citizens to leave no stone unturned in supporting the policy thrust of the Ben Ayade led Administration.
