In a facility tour conducted by the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Comrade Asu Okang to ascertain the level of work done so far in the National Youth Service Corps orientation camp at Obubra, witnessed a yielding and applauding results.

Recall that the camp was moved out of Obubra which serves as the NYSC Permanent abode to a temporal site at the College of Education Akamkpa to enable the government  carry out a total overhauling of the camp facilities and structures which was inherited in a despicable state.

There has been some level of tension created by some unscrupulous elements of the State to distract government and the community on achieving these goals over propaganda of governments’ intent in denying Obubra Local Government the only thing which seems as Federal presence to them by completely relocating the camp to another zone.
This is a complete hoax as the level of work done on site proves the real intent.

The tour revealed a great deal of work carried out and 70% to complete which local concentration of the work force and material supplies such as cements, stones and other building materials.

The community applauded HE Sen. Prof. Ben. Ayade through the Honourable Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development for his expedient response regardless of the State’s financial status repledged their commitment in ensuring that the needed support in completing task will be given.

The Commissioner responding assured them of government’s readiness to complete the before the next batch of Youth Corp members arrive to return the camp back to Obubra
