As a government, His Excellency Sen. Prof. Ayade Benedict okayed the hosting of this event, regardless of the considerable lean financial resources of the State.

His Excellency Prof. Ben. Ayade in his wisdom has also directed that this game be hosted in Cross River State and that is why we are here.

On-behalf of the Government of Cross River State, let me cease this opportunity to welcome all our participating athletes from across the 36 State of the Federation to the Africa’s warmest hospitality city and to let you understand that everything logistics wise has been put in place to ensure your safety and pray that you have the best of time while in CRS.

Q: In what way has Government Supported the hosting of the event?

A: The support is not just in terms of funds but part of the accommodation especially for the dignitaries which comprises of His Lordship, The Chief Justice of the FRN and other Justices of the Supreme Court.

It is our policy to maintain the hospitality vitality of our Governor, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade that all Justices of the Supreme Court including the CJN have a free accommodation at the Transcorp Hotels in Calabar for the duration.

We are also providing accommodation for few other officials that are coming. Vehicles that will convey athletes from one point of the four games center to another.

Also we are providing  security.

Basically, if you quantify all of that, I am not sure you will not be able to value that in terms of money.
