SOCIAL MEDIA VENDETTA: Oron, Uyo and Eket girls are the reason Calabar Girls are referred to as dogs – Mary

SOCIAL MEDIA VENDETTA: Oron, Uyo and Eket girls are the reason Calabar Girls are referred to as dogs - Mary

The Nationwide victory recorded and celebrated Nationwide by Nigeria’s football team where they trashed Cameron 4 goals to nothing was short lived in the hearts of many due to what seemed as a negligible mistake made by the National Television Authority (NTA) through their broadcast as this stirred a tribal social media assault.

The match which held at Godswill Akpabio’s International Stadium was misconstrued by the TV Station to Calabar Stadium and this unsettled the air and uncapped some unhealed wounds.

A popular Calabar babe, Mary-Agnes Ansa, very unhappy with the rancor and the promulgators decided to share her thoughts via her timeline.

“Just because NTA mistakenly wrote on their scroll bar that the match last Friday was played in Calabar, AkwaIbomites have started a useless trend.

You people promoting this trend are mad.

When you go to Lagos/Abuja/North they call you Calabar people.
You do not show any sign of disgust. In fact, you tell people you’re from Calabar with your own mouth. (My Yoruba friend told me how he got a lady from Akwa Ibom a job simply because she said she was from Cross River. After she got the job, she had to meet him and apologize. During my short stay in Lagos, I was in a Buka  boldly Calabar kitchen. I got to find out that they were all from Akwa Ibom)

It’s because of how Promiscuous your Oron, Uyo/Eket girls are that they’ve termed Calabar girls as dogs and great in bed.

AkwaIbomites are mostly the ones who eat dog meat, but everyone says its Calabar people that eat dog meat. They hide their dogs when a calabar man is around.

In our civil service, those who claim to be indigenes of Calabar (Odukpani, Akpabuyo, Bakassi, Cal. South and Municipality) are actually AkwaIbomites especially the males. They forged/changed their identities to get employment. The females is understandable coz of the marriage factor.

When I was in Creek Town for immunization, majority of the villagers were from Akwa Ibom but claimed to be Efiks.

You’ll hardly find a Calabar man claim to be from Akwa Ibom for whatever reason. Because we’re proud of our identity.

You’re given liberty and privileges to buy, build and own properties and work in Calabar but we Calabar people don’t even get get from you people.

They won’t see this hashtags to be a hate speech

Which typical Calabar man will want to identify with you people by the way if not for love and unity sake?

My mum is Ibibio, the family I come from do not like you people one bit.
Till tomorrow, they’ll keep on calling my mum “Nwan Ibibio” despite the fact that she’s now a Crossriverian by marriage.

We see you people are ingrates. And yes, you people are ingrates.

You wanna set things/records straight?

Start by telling people that you’re from AkwaIbom when you’re in the West or North and not Calabar.
Tell them to call you Uyo not Calabar.
Stop naming your Bukkas Calabar kitchen.

You people are just ungrateful.

Because Nigeria WON the match? I bet this hash tag wouldn’t come up if we had lost and Calabar stadium will take the blame.
Just so y’all know, Nigeria had always won her matches in Calabar Stadium. Thus before Uyo, Calabar WAS, IS & will continue to be.

Go on now and give yourself an identity.

Nonsense and ungrateful people.

 Nonsense and One Nigeria”.

As at the time The Warden gathered this post, her replies was filled with over 200 comments of individuals from Akwa Ibom origin, replying fire with brimstone.
