#UyoNotCalabar: Princess Ann Spits fire on the Ibibio populace in response
Princess Ann

The social media vendetta sparkled by the NTA replacing Calabar for Uyo has by the day been catching some fire as gathered by The Warden.
Our reporter just picked up another post made by one of the parties in the social war on her timeline.

“I don’t always like been dragged into stupid and senseless talks but I won’t sit and watch some ungrateful folks drag my identity in mud.

My dear, say it as it’s supposed to be said, Ibibio edi ifiñ. If you don’t like delete your self because if you exhibit your foolishness in my comment box you won’t like me.

So some bunch of crazy senseless folks are agitating that the Efik men prefers Ibibio women when it comes to marriage? Lols! The same people who claims to be Efiks are Ibibios, utibi utoñ Ibibio for that matter. I have been privilege to travel 26 out of 36 states in Nigeria all thanks to Journalism. The worst people i have ever met are the Akwa Ibom people. They are every where in Porthacourt occupying batcha houses and claiming calabar. They perpetuate crimes with the ‘Calabar’ identity. Their women are every where around Casablanca, Temptation and Mr. Sweet selling their body cheaply all in the name of Calabar. And the people there will ignorantly buy it.

Thank God, you people have finally woken up from your dogmatic slumber to realize that it’s #AkwaIbomnotCrossRiver #CalabarnotUyo pls do well to educate all your people on that fact. We the Cross Riverians are tired of having to exonerate our selves from your mess.

When a child is 30 he|she is expected to leave the parents house Dear Akwa Ibom, ubok Abasi mbok, edianade ke Ine ekpon obon. Leave Calabar lands, Villages and Creeks for the Calabar People. You can’t bite the fingers that feeds you.

We are tired of all your excesses and will be glad if you stop faking certificates of origin just to answer a Calabar man, we’ll be glad if you dress in your attires and leave ours alone. Efik edi mbakara, afai ebot imaha ndek, ibibio eku da ndek uyet ebot. We don’t impersonate you people, don’t impersonate us. Build your self esteem and be proud of your identity.

Own up to your accent, Be proud of it, tag your kitchens Akwa Ibom kitchen or Uyo kitchen.

Finally, the Efik women are so full of pride that they don’t settle for less, we are married out and not sold out, thats why our bride price is just 12 pounds, our fathers don’t have to sell lands before they can refund it. Our parents are not greedy like yours, they understand the institution of marriage, you don’t own us, we are not your trophy. We are daughters thats why even after marriage our parents still Keep our rooms, because we are welcome back home anytime. We are valuable Thats why we are not sold off as commodity in the market. Your manliness has to be tried before an Efik woman is given to you in marriage, those who don’t pass the test comes to Akwa Ibom to buy themselves a  commodity tagged ‘Wife’ and you say Efik men rush to marry Akwa Ibom women?  Mbuka idiok nkpo aka ñsan ñsan.

I stand with you on this one.
