Calabar South APC in shambles as Umo Antigha aka Toby Resigns from Party

A veritable source and key stability factor of the party who has tested the waters since the party’s creation in 2013, Mr Umo Antigha who served as the Chapter Publicity Secretary for more than six years announced his resignation on 1st February, 2018.

This gathered reactions from various party faithfuls who were loyalist of Mr Toby.
Reasons for his defection were not stated but some assumed that this may have been caused by the face off with his formal boss Mr Sylvester Nsa who currently serves as the NDDC Commissioner for Cross River State. While others think this may be caused by the rift within the party’s leadership.

Although his true intents are not revealed for now, Mr Toby stands celebrated by stalwarts and formal party men and some who have promised to join him as the party has no root and flavour without his presence, input and audacity.

His resignation comes as the second blow on the party in less than two years after the resignation of the State Special Leader Mr. Offiong Okon who hails also from Calabar South LGA, both party leaders.

The big question remains, with all this, can APC have a place in Calabar South against 2019?
