2019: Agbo Etta declares interest for C'river House of Assembly. [TEXT: FULL SPEECH]

I am a product of history who is aware of the fact that the life and times of every God-sent servant and leader reflect of pages particularly of books that tell the story of a people.
The story of Calabar Municipality will not be imported into our record book.
We are not strangers, wither to ourselves or in ourselves.
We know the needs of our people, we understnd the challenges associated with leadership, Particularly when it comes to driving developmental initiatives in our land.
We are not unaware of the fact that there is no treasure without a price.
For me, I know the debt I owe you all and I am determined to pay.
We must take responsibilities for our actions as well as in actions.
We must learn how to seek no more who the crown of blame befits over past failures and act right.
The time has come for us to change the narratives.

Let me specially thank God for His Excellency Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, who more than any other political leader in our history, has given young people the space and opportunity to participate in the government of our dear State.

At this point, Ladies and Gentlemen, with the greatest humility, present myself for service and with every sense of responsibility having considered all, I wish to formally declare my interest to represent the good people of Calabar Municipality in the Cross River State House of Assembly, come 2019.

God bless you all”.

The event which held in the heart of Calabar had in attendance party stalwarts and Elder Stakeholders, State Government Appointees.
High point of the event was goodwill messages from supporters and support notes.
Clearly, the Honourable Commissioner for Tourism Mr. Eric Anderson made his remark with stern position for the cause to give an unflinching support despite the odds.
Adding, he said, “it is time we take what is ours and I know that it is better I stand with this cause”

Speaking also was the Honourable Commissioner, Comrade Asu Okang, who encouraged the vision in line with HE Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade’s drive for youth inclusiveness in government.
