Fulani beggars take over capital of C'river State- Calabar, drive indigenous beggars to low profile areas.

The Association of Indigenous beggars of Nigeria (TAIBON), C/River State Chapter have decried victimization by foreigners.

In a statement made available to our sources, the Chairman who simply identified himself as Uduak have complained bitterly the constant victimization of his chapter members who formally operated the Calabar metropolis who are now being forced and relegated to low profile areas.

He noted that the level of income generated in the low profile areas cannot satisfy their daily needs so to provide for their saving culture.

Mr Uduak who blamed the Fulani/Hausa beggars for their misfortune, described them as ingrates and lawless citizens of Nigeria.

“Before now, we dey do our thing small small until this people come full street…before person go reach your area, him don dash people money finish”, he said.

Interestingly he alleged that some of the women Fulani/Hausa beggars around town with little children are wives of Army recruits who have no business in the street but for want of fast money.

“This army people wife wey no sabi say this thing na work, go just pack themselves comot for barracks, follow come stand for road. If you talk now, dem go come warn you” he added.
