She is breaking bricks and taking names
It may be a bit hard to believe, but Tekken 8 has been out in the wild for three months already — and now we know who its second DLC character is going to be.
Bandai Namco announced tonight that Tekken 7’s final addition, Lidia Sobieska, will be the next post-launch fighter to join Tekken 8 at Evo Japan 2024.
The footage of Lidia is a mere teaser and doesn’t give us any glimpse into what new things she may be bringing to the table, but it’s nice to have a confirmation of her inclusion nonetheless.
The Season 1 trailer also confirms that we’ll be getting free content updates throughout the year, with a balance update coming soon and a brand new stage called Seaside Resort to release in the summer, presumably alongside Lidia herself
There will also be a new Photo Mode so that you can create your own dynamic Tekken scenarios for picture-taking, and come Autumn we’re going to get a story mode expansion which seems to clue us in on what the Season Pass 1 characters were up to during all of the commotion of Tekken 8’s cinematic story mode.
Lidia Sobieska will be joining Eddy Gordo, who released at the start of the month as the first DLC character, along with two more unannounced fighters in the Year 1 Pass that are planned to join the game this Fall and Winter.
