Of all the mechanics that utilize the Drive Gauge in Street Fighter 6, the Drive Reversal is probably the most underutilized. Though it’s better than Street Fighter 5’s V-Reversal in that it has full invincibility even to throws, it being -8 on block instead of -2 on block makes it extremely unsafe if read.
Regardless, it seems that Desk was determined to create a hype combo video that’s focused on Drive Reversals. A lot of interesting things are showcased during the compilation.
At many points in the video, Desk actually demonstrates ways to combo into a Drive Reversal. This is usually done with a projectile like Dhalsim’s Yoga Arch, though this probably won’t be practical in a real match.
Desk also demonstrates a bizarre phenomenon in which a Drive Reversal can technically knock out an opponent. Under normal circumstances, the Drive Reversal will only deal damage in the form of white life, which means that a fighter should never lose from a Drive Reversal.
However, it turns out that this check is somehow circumvented if a Drive Reversal is traded with. Of course, this also requires both characters to just have a sliver of life remaining.
