Man United winger Antony missed the Bournemouth game which birthed speculations all over social media as to why as there was no prior official club communication on why.

As Insider United posted on their X handle, Antony did in fact miss the trip to Bournemouth altogether because of some discomfort putting to bed all the social media rumours and speculations.

According to the report, Antony trained on Friday but he did in fact feel some discomfort on Saturday morning after which it was discussed and agreed he couldn’t travel to Bournemouth.

ESPN also earlier reported that the club was unhappy with speculations of a rift insisting the only reason Antony didn’t play was the discomfort he felt.

Garnacho as well was feeling unwell but he wanted to play although perhaps it affected him as he was below par and got substituted at half time.

He clearly wasn’t happy with ten Hag’s decision to hook him at half time so much so that he liked two tweets questioning ten Hag.

This situation has however not escalated further as centredevils covered.

This latest setback is a huge blow for Antony who just a little over a week ago delivered quite a pleasant outing at Chelsea marked by a brilliant trivela assist for Garnacho’s second.

The Chelsea game does little however to salvage what has been a terrible season for Antony altogether.

That assist for Garnacho two Thursdays ago was his first goal contribution in the league all season, in 25 appearances.

It would be an understatement saying that he has been grossly overwhelming especially for what United paid for him.

According to the ESPN report, the issue is not serious and that the 24-year-old could recover in time to face Coventry in the FA Cup semifinal on Sunday.
