Tekken 8 chart shows character popularity after 2 months with Eddy Gordo making a huge splash in his debut

It’s a bit wild to think that Tekken 8 has already been out in the hands of players for over two months already, and the grind in the game is only just beginning.

AlietteFaye recently put together a new chart for Tekken 8 breaking down ranked character popularity where Eddy Gordo is showing up big in his DLC debut.

As can be seen in the chart, Eddy has the highest usage rate overall with 7.37% though there’s a few more things to take into consideration there.

This data was apparently pulled from over 165,000 players using information posted by NotQuiteFactual on Reddit, which only pulled these matches from April 6 through April 8.

It makes total sense that a DLC character would be used more than everyone in their first weekend after release, so we’ll need to wait for updated data in the future to see how many people actually stick it out with him after the first few weeks.

Although not part of this chart, NotQuiteFactual also showed that Eddy had an absurd win rate at like 65% total for all ranks and over 55% at Fujin ranks or higher.

For the rest of the regular cast, Jin, King and Reina remain very popular picks as well making up the other fighters with at least 6% representation online.

When looking at where the character rankings were back in early February, newcomers Azucena and especially Victor have fallen off quite a bit while Dragunov fell from first to seventh

The absolute bottom is made up of the bears as well as Shaheen, Zafina and Leroy, but the win rates show Panda and Kuma take the W more than just about everyone else when they do show up.
