Manchester United are faced with the tough task of deciding what to do with Mason Greenwood’s future as he continues to enjoy a fine resurgence of form at Getafe in Spain.
As Mark Ogden of ESPN reports, the exiled Manchester United forward could be back to the Manchester United first team.
According to the report, this situation is very unlikely, but it is not impossible and not out of question.
United will have to make the decision that has been troubling them for the past 2 and a half years ever since his arrest and with his resurgence in form, their decision may be made easier, and they may even gain close to 40 million pounds on him in the event of a sale.
As ESPN reports, Greenwood’s future is still in as much uncertainty as it was a year ago, even with his Getafe loan ending next month.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s takeover of football decisions has made the decision even more complex and more uncertain.
After his and INEOS’ 27.7% investment in the club late last year, the British billionaire took over all the club’s footballing operations and as ESPN reports, they are now considering all options as to what happens to Greenwood’s future.
ESPN’s sources henceforth put trough that other than the very obvious options of selling him permanently and loaning him out again, there is also a likely possibility Greenwood will find himself in the first team again come next month.
