A woman whose name is anonymous is selling expired food snacks including Biscuits, sweets, juices, breads and other similar products at Amika Utuk Street in Calabar. The shop which is located singly by the left side of the street before you get to the dustbin or Uwanse Street when entering from Goldie is filled with expired products without the shop owner showing concern.

Yesterday when I visited a friend, the CEO of Purplebird Media for the designs he was actually doing for me. Due to fatiguability, I have to step out to the opposite side of the road to get us some snacks, when I got there, the looks of the products weren’t pleasing so I have to cross check their labels especially their Manufacturing and Expiration dates. I discovered that all the biscuits, sweets, juices, breads and other products have expired. Most expiration dates signed on the pack(s) were June, July, August, September and October 2015, while others dates back to even 2014.

I wonder if this woman cares for the life of the people or the Government parastatals are being lazy, fooled or haven’t notice this at all. And when I told her about the expired products, she puts a snub face on me and shouted that other people buying are not complaining, why is it that am the only one complaining. It was so weird and cold when I heard her saying this, I have to leave in disarray and warned my friend, and so am I warning you reading this post too.

If you are in position to arraign this woman, please do it fast as she’s endangering the life of the people, thank you.
