“As Ill Prejudices Turns Out To Be Fresh Juices” By Emmanuel Idris

"As Ill Prejudices Turns Out To Be Fresh Juices" By Emmanuel Idris

Speaking on our governments and politics, it’s always turned out to be a fiery tunnel for the citizenry as more commotion has been treading the hearts of the people; for many, they are scared of the mask worn by their leaders.

You know, if you’d remember the popular saying “one apple spoils the rest“, you’ll take all our leaders to be one, but this same people still said “a tree cannot form a forest”.  I wonder where we have to stand.

This brings us to a sweet piece of work as written by Emmanuel Idris; speaking as he’d examined the achievements of the Hon. Jarigbe’s government since he’s inception, and I was completely astonished by what he’d discovered. In the course of this discourse, you’ll be compelled to agree with him, that Hon. Jarigbe is indeed a Political Messiah. You have to read through though to get the inside out while we still have good leaders irrespective of our reputation.

1) In less than six(6) months in Office, Hon. Jarigbe employed well over 35 persons (27 Official staff and some domestic staff) from his Constituency.

The aforementioned action greeted a lot of criticisms from even those who were purporting to support him. The doubters maintained that Hon. Jarigbe will be unable to pay the staff he employed.
Three months and counting, Hon. Jarigbe has continued to pay his employees(the economic hardship our country is facing notwithstanding)  This unprecedented sacrifice and exhibition of magnanimity is extremely overwhelming. However, Hon. Jarigbe has continued to endure the discomfort as he continues to squeeze out from his salary to share with his people.

2) They made all sorts of ridiculous purportions, fabricated all manner of ludicrous allegations, coined the most comic mendacity, but at the end, Light always Conquers darkness.

For a man whom detractors swore on their lives would be humiliated out of the Green Chambers for the ill conceived Prejudices they had of him. For a man who ‘forged’ his certificate, i must say he’s doing better than professors. If certificate(s) forgery makes one so eloquent and outstanding, i beg to plead for all our elected officials to be certificate forgers.

Within 9 months in Office, Hon. Jarigbe has gotten overwhelming recognitions at the National Level. He has continued to keep his Constituency at the spotlight. For a first time rep. to be the one representing a house of 360 persons on many issues, one can only wonder what manner of man he is. Hon. Jarigbe has been on National and Continental Televisions discussing national issues, while representing the House Of Representatives. Most concurrently was his appearance on the NTA, where he represented the house of Representatives on the issue of ‘Unbundling the NNPC’. As usual, his contribution and argument was outstanding.

3) Many days back, Hon. Jarigbe who has always frowned at the neglect of the younger ones in the political administration (at least in Cross River) distributed writing materials to schools across his Constituency. The smiles on the faces of the pupils /students were heartwarming. They were all very grateful Hon. Jarigbe remembered them.

4) Did you know not all Hon. Members are representatives? Representation is the Nitty-gritty of being a Hon. Member. Since he got to office, Hon. Jarigbe has remained accessible to his constituents and has always been there to listen to their plea. Hon. Jarigbe has contributed immensely to the everyday running of the House.

I needn’t say more, need l?

I definitely can’t forget to say THANK YOU HONOURABLE JARIGBE AGOM JARIGBE FOR BEING A REPRESENTATIVE AND NOT JUST A HONOURABLE MEMBER.
