The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Calabar (UNICAL) chapter has embarked on a warning strike over security issues.
We all know Nigeria today is on the brink in terms of security issues surrounding the country. First, it was in the far north, but now it’s everywhere. We can’t stand the pace, so we have to deploy means of compacting this menace. We need to secure ourselves, properties and Co.
So, the Academic body have to strike again in respect to deaf ears given to them by FG over their request for Armed security personels.
The period of the strike is indefinite according the Chairman of the Union chapter.
