Luiz Van Gaal could only lead Manchester United nowhere but into the lion den

Luiz Van Gaal has been a superb coach, but not this time for the Red Devils. For he only led them into a lions den.

Van Gaal took over the managerial job at Manchester United after winning a bronze for his Dutch side at the 2014 world cup, but his prowess failed him till now as his tactics are no more paying. We know he’s been successful in The Netherlands, Germany, Italy and the rest, but English football was more tougher just like the language to him that he could barely take a touch.

He’s hope now lies on the FA Cup final at Wembley. But with this team? He’ll surely lift only his tea cup.

Manchester United loose the opportunity of entering the top four which could’ve permitted them to play the UEFA Champions League which is one of the greatest and prestigious League in the world. But rather managing to battle with the second tier of the league which is known as UEFA Europa League.

The Europa League we all know kills players, and playing in that League will never give your team a domestic title. Check out the likes of Sevilla, even though they’ve won in back to back, they struggle in the La Liga and never quality for the Champions League. Atlético Madrid only did beat that test when they rise to the Champions League, that’s what gave them their momentum and they are proving strong today, but it took them more than just time. But, for United, I think it’ll take them eternity. Maybe that’s why Arsenal don’t want to sack Wenger, I guess.

So, if we check out the match of yesterday which presented Van Gaal and his team an opportunity to rise above their city rivals, what else should be the excuse for the Devils?

Few commentary between West Ham United Vs Manchester United:

It was only the Hammers fans whom were treated to a thrilling finale at the Boleyn Ground on Tuesday after late goals saw their side come from behind and dent United’s European ambitions.

Winston Reid proved the unlikely hero as West Ham claimed a thrilling 3-2 Premier League win over Manchester United in the final game at Upton Park to leave the visitors’ Champions League hopes hanging by a thread.

West Ham’s farewell to Upton Park was delayed by 45 minutes after Manchester United arrived late to the stadium, with their team bus coming under attack from fans outside the ground who threw bottles and other objects.

The hosts made a superb start when the match got underway, Diafra Sakho putting them ahead after 10 minutes with his first goal in six Premier League games.

However, United – who had the chance to go a point clear of rivals Manchester City in the battle for a place in the top four – turned things around thanks to a second-half double from Anthony Martial, who returned along with Marcus Rashford after missing last Saturday’s win at Norwich City.

Slaven Bilic’s men refused to say goodbye to their famous home with a defeat, however, as Michail Antonio headed in a leveller just four minutes after Martial’s second.

And Reid settled a frenetic contest in West Ham’s favour in the 80th minute with his header from Dimitri Payet’s cross proving too strong for David De Gea to ensure a memorable send-off and boost the hosts’ Europa League aspirations.

And after the final whistle, all was lost for Van Gaal and his side. Europa League is just a lion’s den that kills players. Because that’s the only thing he could reward his side with. Playing 32 group matches, then regrouping into 32 group matches again after the Champions League first round. Men… It’s a tough nut to crack. It’s over. United will just be battling as Liverpool FC.
