Road users plying the Calabar, Ikom-Ogoja federal highway are calling on the FG to fix Biase road

According a report from Channelstv, aggrieved road users says almost collapsed portion of the road has left them with bitter tales to tell.

The Biase road is the only entry and exit route from Calabar, the Cross River State to the northern part of the country through Benue State.

The road, which was constructed over 40 years ago, has continually served taxis, as well as trailers carrying petroleum products, building and food materials through the years.

The road in recent times has been in a deplorable state and on the verge of collapse. It continues to cause huge traffic jam, leaving thousands of trailers and taxis stranded for days.

Narrating their ordeal, aggrieved drivers blamed the incident on bad governance.

According to them, many lives have been lost due to accidents as a result of the failed portion.

They called on government to intervene on the matter.
