Hahaha… Nemesis is beginning to catch some people as they are on Olympic marathons.
A former Minister of State Federal Capital Territory, Jumoke Akinjide is allegedly on the run, Sahara Reporters reports.
Akinjide has refused to honour the invitation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to answer questions on the N650 million campaign fund released by former President Goodluck Jonathan to Oyo State in the run-up to the 2015 general elections.
Also, News24 reported that, the money was routed through a new generation commercial bank for the purpose of ‘facilitating’ the re-election of Jonathan.
Akinjide alongside two others allegedly converted the money to their personal use.
The two others are the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Yinka Taiwo and Senator Ayo Ademola Adeseun.
The EFCC has already obtained an interim order from the Lagos State Magistrate Court, Ikeja District, to remand Taiwo in its custody for the next 30 days.
