A senior secondary (SS) school 2 student from Eastern Commercial Secondary, Ediba Road, Calabar, known as Christian Donatus, aka, Inyang, who led the robbery gang that robbed former Governor of Cross River State wife, Obioma Imoke’s Value Mart and his gang members have been arrested by operatives of State Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, attached to the Cross River State Police Command.
The PPRO also said;
“These two members of the gang reside at Bayside area in Calabar and have been terrorising and robbing various locations in Calabar Metropolis which include Monty Suits, Value Mart, New Airport, Palm Street, Beebobsco and several other places”.
Irene Ugbo added that the gang killed a medical doctor at Ediba and also carted away safes at Marian Road containing large sums of money.
She said the duo were arrested on July 16that about 10 pm by operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad.
“Efforts are being intensified to track down those on the run and we hope very soon they will be arrested and brought to book”.
