The National South South Vice President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and renown televangelist, Bishop Emmah Isong has led an outcry that fraudsters are peddling a Facebook account in his name using it to defraud unsuspecting members of the public in the name of offering prayers to them.
Bishop Emmah Isong is also the founder of Christian Central Chapel International, a lead church located in Calabar.
In a statement, the clergy issued to the media, on Monday in Calabar, he said someone created a Facebook account impersonating his name, ‘Emmah Isong’ sending friends request with intention of soliciting for money and other favours from unsuspecting members of the public in exchange for fake prophecies and prayers.
The cash fulfilment, Bishop Isong said was being carried out through a bank account or other means.
He however warned members of the public to be careful in relating with such acquaintance as he, Isong would never request for money from anyone in exchange for prayers.
The statement reads in part, “It has come to our notice that somebody created a Facebook account impersonating EMMAH ISONG sending friends request with intention of soliciting for money/ other favour from unsuspecting & gullible people giving them prophesies, in exchange for money through a bank acct or other means.”
“Note -Bishop Emmah Isong does not give prophesies, prayers, counselling on Facebook & will never solicit for money, recharge card, etc.” The statement said.
