Barrister Okoi Obono-Obla (Left) |
The defunct APC Presidential Campaign Council has congratulated Chief Okoi Obono-obla on his recent appointment as the Special Assistant to the President on Prosecution and on his nomination as Non-Executive Commissioner (South/South) for the Nigerian Communications Commission.
In a congratulatory message signed by all members of the Committee including the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen AB Dambazau (Rtd); Minister of Defence, Brig Gen Dan Ali (Rtd), and Director General of the SSS, Lawal Daura wrote thus:
“On behalf of the members of the Defunct Security Committee and States’ Security Coordinators of APC Presidential Campaign Council, we the undersigned heartily congratulate you and your family on your appointment as Special Adviser to the President on Prosecution Matters and Commissioner National Communications Commission (NCC).”
“This appointment is by all means God’s will fulfilled. Your appointment, as Special Adviser to the President and Commissioner NCC is as a result of your faith in the CHANGE agenda of this Government. We consider your persistent hard-work and proven integrity in all previous Party assignments at the national level since the times of ANPP, the CPC and APC as a plus for these onerous tasks. The leadership qualities you exhibited in the past, during the Defunct Security Committee of APC Presidential Campaign Council’s sittings, especially your intervention on legal issues, did not only prove your worth as a first class lawyer, but must have formed the basis in your choice for these appointments. We are individually and collectively proud of you and we look forward to a very inspiring support to the Government in all aspects of judicial processes, particularly the fight against corruption. It is a war that must be won, and you are one of the legal gladiators that will fight the judicial war of this Administration.”
“May God in his infinite mercy grant you the wisdom, strength of character, guard and guide you in your role performance, at this critical time of our national life.”
