The 2nd edition of Africa’s leading annual travel and tourism event – The Calabar International Tourism Expo 2016 is set to begin in less than two weeks with lots to expect from this year’s edition.
The event which is targeted to host over a hundred exhibitors and thousands inbound tourists from within and outside the country provides unique and efficient platform for promotion of Domestic tourism. It is the largest and most comprehensive tourism exhibition that host over 30 hosted buyers from within and outside Nigeria.
In a media release made by the Project Executive Director, Mr. Peter Ofuka, the four-day tourism show will hold as follows;

Venue: Calabar International Convention Centre
Theme: “Tourism: Promoting a Sustainable Economic Growth Through Diversification”
According to Mr. Ofuka, Over 2000 delegates have confirmed participation for this year’s show, with delegates drawn from Tourism and Culture Ministries, Local Government Councils, Boards and Parastatals, Multilateral and Regional Institutions, Global Tourism Orgainsations, Tour Operators and a host of other bodies.
Exhibition at last year’s edition of the show in Calabar He said the expo was organised in partnership with Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation, Cross River State Tourism Bureau, Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, International Trade Fair Limited, TV Enterprise and Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria.
