TQT’s beautiful screenshots really make them shine
From Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 to Dia de los Muertos, Sub-Zero and Scorpion have several alternate skins that change up how they look in Mortal Kombat 1. Some of these costumes are call backs to past games, and while we’ve seen a handful of different past iterations of the two classic ninjas already represented in NetherRealm Studios’ latest fighting game, there is another NRS game that hasn’t seen any skins added into MK1 just yet.
As always, PC modders go ahead and create things that the developers haven’t yet, and one modder recently crafted mods for Sub-Zero and Scorpion that transform them into their Injustice versions. Both of these alternate costumes look fantastic, and they look even better thanks to the wizardry of TQT‘s screenshot skills.
These mods come from the mind of TC9real. If you’d like more information on them including how to get them, check out TQT’s tweet thread.
Both Sub-Zero and Scorpion found their way into the Injustice series of fighting games as guest characters. Scorpion joined the fight in the first game, Injustice: Gods Among Us, as DLC, while Sub-Zero did the same, but in Injustice 2.
TC9real’s mods use the main roster versions of Scorpion and Sub-Zero as their basis, instead of the Kameo Fighter versions. Unfortunately, this means you wouldn’t be able to use both on one team, but hey, they’re still awesome.
These two ninjas’ Injustice costumes feature a hooded outfit with some more jagged, armor-like gear attached to it. Sub-Zero and Scorpion look more sinister with these outfits on, and they fit in really nicely within the world of Mortal Kombat 1.
