Lily can not only stop projectiles with her camera but she can KO you with it too in Street Fighter 6

It was very quickly discovered after the launch of Street Fighter 6 that some character’s taunts have interesting traits that, while not the most useful in battle, can do some, well… interesting things.

Blanka’s taunt, for example, is the only way he can replenish Blanka-Chan dolls, but it’s so slow and you’re locked into the entire animation, so using it in an actual match is essentially out of the question. We know that Lily’s camera flash can collide with projectiles and stop them, but what you might not know is that her taunt can also KO you and capture that moment forever on film while doing it.

If you weren’t aware, combo wizard Desk is now on Twitter. The master-level combo creator is now sharing clips of different combos, oddities, and cool interactions from various fighting games over on the social media platform, and he recently shared a clip of Lily and her taunt in Street Fighter 6.

With this taunt, Lily whips out her old school camera and snaps a photo of her opponent — and like Blanka, the animation is really slow and you’re locked in the entire time. With that in mind, the chances of someone actually using the taunt to stop a projectile in a real match is insanely slim, and the only way it maybe could happen is if the opponent is throwing a projectile from full screen away and the Lily preemptively started the taunt beforehand.

With all of that having been said, the likelihood that it could be used for anything else would be small, you’d think, but as Desk shows us you can actually use Lily’s taunt to KO an opponent under the right circumstances.

The only real consistent set up you can utilize here involves stunning the opponent when they’re burnt out and when they only have about a sliver of health left. If you happen to meet that criteria, then your foe will remain stunned long enough for Lily to bring out the camera and take a snapshot, and since the camera flash does a little bit of damage, you can actually knock your foe out with it.

We’ve seen other post-stun shenanigans in the past such as JP stunning the opponent, activating his level 2 super, then taunting while the super finishes the job and KO’s his opposition. Chun-Li also has been shown to have the ability to KO the opponent with her taunt in the exact same way Lily can.

I have yet to see any Lily player actually land the taunt KO in a real match, but perhaps I’ll have to be the one to attempt it… Anyway! Check out the clip below and behold Lily’s incredible camera power!
