Route Development Manager – Europe and US
In this Route Development Manager – Europe and USA position
- You will drive growth across all ocean products within the appointed trade(s), and together with the local OFR management drive Field Sales to focus on those trade(s) as per the trade lane plan.
- You will drive the required pipeline together with local Sales management to ensure it reflects the chosen focus areas and is robust enough to deliver on the required growth.
- You will work with sales locally to ensure opportunities are moved through the funnel and pipeline velocity is increased.
- You will drive effective pipeline reviews focused on real opportunities allowing profitable growth.
- You will provide guidance for local sales on where and what to sell, and personally engage in customer opportunities, including target customer characteristics.
- You will work with country sales to develop solid local growth plans and specific go-to-market strategies/value propositions, including focus customer/commodity/industry segments & customer target definitions from a product point of view.
- You will build and execute an annual program of activities to support the growth required, e.g. sales campaigns, must win RFQs, suggested investments required, etc.
- You will drive country STP follow up on customer wins to ensure won business materialize.
- You will be engaging Trade Management for a solid understanding of the current market developments and procurement levels, in order to ensure competitive pricing is available for sales.
- You will engage relevant customer opportunities to support the local organization with a win strategy and pricing approach.
- You will sponsor several large local customers.
- You will drive engagement with overseas RDMs as per the trade plan and focus countries.
- You will engage locally with carriers and procures as per Trade Management guidance.
Now, here’s what we need from you
- Degree in business Management or in a related field
- 5 to 8 years’ experience in the OFR forwarding industry
- Previous Sales experience is an advantage
- Previous experience of working in a multinational environment or in a large corporation will be an advantage
