The month of March is wholly dedicated to the celebration of women all over the world, which is known as the International Women’s Day celebration, celebrated every 8th day of March.
On this note, Women in Gender Support Initiative (Wings Initiative), which’s dedicated to women’s inclusion in peace and security, is hosting an award and brunch event in Calabar to celebrate women who are inspiring women in their various fields.
A nomination platform was released, which lasted for over 7 days. It was circulated and distributed on different platforms for Nigerians to have access to nominate eligible women that best suit the aforementioned categories below.
The nominations consist of nine categories, they include:

After the expiration of the Google Forms link, it was estimated that 154 nominations were received.
